Pimp Ferdinand

Even though Miranda has not known many men, Ferdinand has had the opportunity to be surrounded by other women in society.  In Act III, Ferdinand admits that, “Full many a lady I have eyed with best regard, and many a time Th’ harmony of their tongues hath into bondage brought my too diligent ear.  For several virtues have I liked sever women;” (III, i, 39-43).  But even though he has had the chance to be with other women before, he sees Miranda as, “so perfect and so peerless, are created of every creature’s best.” (III, i, 47-48)  Ferdinand isn’t just trying to use Miranda to get her “white cold virgin snow upon ” him. (IV, i, 55)  It is beyond doubt love at first sight, for both of them.
