Love is present throughout The Tempest, and in many forms. There is the love of a father and a daughter, a father and a son, a monster and woman, and a man and a woman. Each example of love is different. The love of a man and a woman is between Ferdinand and Miranda. It is introduced in Act 1, Scene ii of The Tempest when Ariel brings Ferdinand to Miranda’s home. It is an act of love at first sight. They meet magically, but their love is evident, true, and real.
