Alas, time is winding down |
 |
We left Shenzhen this morning to return to Hong Kong, where we will fly out tomorrow. We were seen off by one of our cousins, Wendy, who gave us some delicious snacks for the road. For some reason, we were the only passengers on this 45 person bus to Hong Kong. We didn't realize we smelled that bad, but nonetheless we enjoyed the ride. |

The last night of our lives |

Upon arrival, we promptly began looking for another suitcase, as we have bought too much stuff on this trip. We found a suitcase at a wonderful Chinese department store. Somehow, before we had a chance to leave the store, the suitcase was completely full with Chinese goodies and relics. Must be some special deal for foreigners. After we got the suitcase, we ate dinner and then went downtown to catch the nightly light show. It was spectacular! |

After the light show, we rode the famous Star Ferry from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island. |

We then took the tram up to the top of Victoria's Peak. The average slope of the tram is 27 degrees from horizontal, but in some places it is much steeper. |

The Hong Kong skyline is famous, and for good reason. Although we had been to the peak in the daytime on our last visit, the view at night was spectacular and well worth the journey. |
