   About Me

I am a first year masters student in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech. I joined the Computational Science Laboratory in the Summer of 2007 after finishing my undergraduate degree in computer science from Virginia Tech. Prior to starting my masters work, I did undergraduate research with Dr.Sandu for a year. My research work has involved working with the Kinetic Pre-Processor and GEOS-Chem. This work includes developing C integrators based on the already implemented Fortran integrators, developing a parser to convert GEOS-Chem input files to KPP input files, and developing an automatic process to quickly and easily allow GEOS-Chem to interface with KPP. I was awarded a SMART fellowship for the 2008-2009 academic year to complete a masters degree. This fellowship will provide me with tuition, a stipend, a paid internship, and post-graduation job placement with the Department of Defense

   Research Interests

My research interests include scientific computing, numerical analysis, high performance computing, and development of large-scale simulations.
