Kirk Herbstreit's pretty big on Aggieland, so I had to check it out.

The drive from Blacksburg to College Station took about 20 hours, including quick stops
in Knoxville and Tuscaloosa. Here's a shot of Tennessee's Neyland Stadium.

Kyle Field on Friday afternoon.

A shot from behind one of the end zones.

Welcome to Aggieland.

They were pumped up for this one, and despite the sign, I ended up eating here - good stuff.

One of college football's greatest traditions. Yell practice at midnight, before game day.

30,000 people show up to yell about nothing. How great is that?

The Corps marching in just before game time.

VT flags flying high.

Words of wisdom.

The crowd of over 83,000 was the largest to ever see Virginia Tech play.

Those end zone seats go up pretty high.

The other end zone wasn't so lucky. They say they're planning on expanding this end soon.

Press box side. There's three decks of seats on three sides of the field.

This is pretty much the view I had, close to the field but stuck off in the corner.

The scoreboard didn't get much use on this day.

Halftime show.

The Hokies finally won this slugfest. Awesome trip.
