Graduate Education
Currently I am pursuing my Doctorate in the Bradley department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. under the guidance of Dr. Michael S. Hsiao. My area of research is non-destructive testing methodologies for ICs for security and trust, sequential equivalence checking, sequential ATPG and Design-for-Testability. I am a member of the PROACTIVE lab.

Undergrad Projects
1. Data Dependent System Method of Fringe Pattern analysis for a given Interferrogram (Under the Guidance of Prof. Swapan Kumar Ghorai, B.I.T. Mesra, Ranchi):
This project was aimed in extracting a surface profile from an interferrogram obtained by impinging a laser beam on the surface to be analyzed. The interferrogram thus obtained contained the information of the surface topography in the form of varying intensities of the pixel colouring on the screen. This project involved concepts of Fiber Optics and Digital Signal Processing. I developed a software in MatLab that extracts the surface topology from a given interferrogram using the Data Dependent Systems Method. This method uses the Auto Regressive Moving Average Model (ARMA) to calculate the phase map and extract the exact texture of the surface after eliminating the noise.
2. A VLSI Study Project (Under Prof. Susmita Sur Kolay, Indian Statistical Institute, B.T. Road, Kolkata):
This project was aimed at gaining an insight in a few aspects of the modern VLSI design. As process geometries continue to shrink in the deep sub micron region, problems of space and timing optimization, reduction of parasitic effects and thus interconnect delays continue to be the prime concern of the designers. The project comprised of two portions - The first gave an exposure to the concept of optimization - how optimization can reduce the number of components used to realize a functional logic and the second involved studying the available routing resources for the Xilinx-5000 series of FPGAs and to find a minimum length interconnect between a set of given points.
