Joe Van Allen, Mike Goforth, and AaronGresham

Michael W, Goforth, MS, ATC is the Head Athletic Trainer for Virginia Tech Football and serves as the Sports Medicine Consultant for University Physical Therapy. He graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. He received a Masters in Sports Administration from Virginia Tech and is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Health Education. Mike has had the opportunity to work under legendary trainers Jerry Robertson and Eddie Ferrell along with long time Virginia Tech Team Physician, Duane Lagan. He has served all levels of athletics, and has a special interest in high school outreach programs in Tennessee, as well as Georgia. Before joining the staff at Virginia Tech, he was the Director of Sports Medicine at Hamilton Medical Center. Mike specializes in recovery and prevention from sports and work related injuries, as well as on-site education.

Aaron Greshan, MS, ATC is the Director of Athletic Training Services for University Physical Therapy. He graduated from Virginia Tech University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise. Aaron also received a Masters Degree in Education from Virginia Tech. While at Tech, Aaron covered football under Eddie Ferrell and was fortunate enough to work with four consecutive Bowl Teams. During Aaron's graduate studies he covered the Tech Wrestling Program which went on to win to Conference Championship. Aaron specializes in sports injury rehabilitation and managing the coverage and provision of services for high school athletic events.

Joseph Van Allen, MSPT, ATC, CSCS is the Director of Physical Therapy Services for the University Physical Therapy.He graduated from Millkin University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Joe also received a Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. While at Miami, Joe worked with the Miami Hurricane Football Team and developed a reputation as one of the brightest young sports physical therapist in the country. Joe specializes in the areas of manual therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, PNF and functional exercise techniques.
