The Blue Ridge Fun Run was held in Damascus, VA on January 19, 2008. The event was sponsored by Siberian Husky Assist out of Bristol, VA. (THANKS MARSHA!) We had teams signed up for the 4 and 6 dog class. Temperatures were in the teens but it was a bright and sunny day. The cold temperatures drained our camera batteries, so we didn't get many pictures.

We met Sonny King, who was an Iditarod Vet prior to racing the Iditarod seven times. Not bad for a native Georgian! Sam was a great person, down to earth and quite funny. |

Al Townsend, an Iditarod race vet, gave a wonderful presentation on the Iditarod race the evening before the race. Thanks to Eagle Pack dog food for pmaking it possible for Al and Sonny to be there. |
