How to Enroll

Fall 2009 info: There will be 2 enrollment sessions for the MSOC minor during fall 2009: Monday, October 5, 5-6:30, location, 380 Shanks Hall, and Tuesday, November 17, 5:15-6:15, SHANKS 370.

What to bring: A copy of the current checksheet and an Add/Drop Minor/Major form.

If you miss the enrollment meetings: You can still begin taking MSOC classes if you are not yet enrolled in the minor. Download the checksheet and see the ESSENTIAL INFO page for specific information about when courses are offered. Then make sure you officially enroll as soon as you can. The checksheet for those graduating in 2011 and after is available on the checksheet web page.

Information about courses in the minor is available in a notebook in Honors (Hillcrest Hall), in Professor Hausman's office, and in Professor Jones's office. You do not need to contact your MSOC advisor every semester, unless you are having difficulty meeting the checksheet requirements or need a substitution due to a scheduling conflict. If you are making adequate progress through the minor's requirements, then you need not check in each semester. If you do want some feedback, make sure you contact the correct advisor. Professor Hausman will be advising students with last names A-M; Professor Jones will be advising students with last names N-Z.
