Brief biography

Canming Jiang received the B.E. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Information Science, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2004 and the M.S. degree from the Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2007. Since the fall of 2007, he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, under the supervision of Prof. Y. Thomas Hou.

His current research interests lie in the fundamental understandings of new emerging wireless networks, such as cognitive radio networks and MIMO-based wireless networks. He also did some research on network security, while he was a master student at the State Key Laboratory of Information Security, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was co-recipient of the 2011 IEEE INFOCOM Best Paper Award Runner-up.
