This is Mom's page

Mom continues to substitute teach at the local schools. She recently decided to try and break into pharmaceutical sales. She read in a book somewhere that it's good to drive to doctor's offices and stalk sales reps as they return to their cars. And it paid off. She's got herself a ride-along with a sales rep in Williamsburg. So say a prayer that that turns into a job in the new year!

She certainly loved when bosom buddy Aunt Mo came to visit. The three of them romped around some wineries and caught up on old times.

She's been doing her career counselor thing on the side, starting a small business registered in New Kent for resume writing and job preparation. She's been helping David and I with our resumes and job searches, which gives her more stuff to do and ensures our resumes and cover letters aren't laughable.

She got her wish of attending a real live football game at Lane Stadium this year. David used his Corps of Cadets alumni status to score Mom and Dad two tickets to the homecoming game. They had a great time watching David and his dad March in the Highty-Tighty Alumni parade and packing into the crowded stadium seats. The real Virginia Tech experience for sure. They stayed at a nearby bed and breakfast, a reservation that they got last minute upon a cancellation. However, I graduate in 5 months and they still do not have hotel reservations for that weekend. Good luck.

Mom also wanted me to toot her horn for her. She was very happy that we all got to go to Charlotte this year for Thanksgiving. On Black Friday, instead of shopping the whole fam damily went to Prosciutto's pizza place to play in their cornhole tournament. Mom and her randomly assigned partner, Ed, wound up winning the whole thing. They came back from losing to David and Uncle Duane by beating them twice for the win in the final round of the double elimination tournament.
