About Me

Virginia Tech

Mini-Biography

I was born in Richmond, Virginia on July 29, 1987 and moved to Roanoke, Virginia in 1991. Growing up in Roanoke, I attended Wasena Elementary School, Woodrow Wilson Middles School, and Patrick Henry High School. In high school, I participated in the theater program and was the Editor in Chief of the school newspaper, The Statesman.

After high school, I took a semester off and in the spring of 2006, I took classes at Virginia Western Community College. In the fall of '06, I transferred to Virginia Tech.

I like to keep busy and am involved in many activities. When I'm not at school or doing homework, I'm usually working at the Roanoke County Library, or doing one of my favorite things, babysitting. I love kids, and I love to be around them. Their energy and enthusiasm, while sometimes draining, always makes me happy.

In my spare time, I like to read, watch bad horror films with my younger brother, play tennis, or practice piano. A hobby that I picked up over the last few years is cake decorating. It is difficult, but so rewarding when someone looks at a cake I've made and says, "I can't believe you made this!"
