Foundations
Everyday Minerals offers 4 different formulas of foundations: Original Glo, Semi-Matte, Matte, and Intensive. Depending on your skin type, you may prefer one formula over another. Or you can mix 2 different formulas to achieve the look desired.
Original Glo
This is a formula for "good" skin. Therefore, if you have breakouts or scars that you want to hide, you would steer clear away from this formula. Orginal Glo has a higher level of Mica than the other 3 formulas so if for sensitive skin, it may irritate you. However, it may not - it all depends on your particular skin type.
With this formula, you will achieve a pearly finish. Not shiny nor shimmery, it just gives off a nice glow which looks extremely natural and will brighten up your skin.
You will want Original Glo if you have a clear complexion and you don't need a lot of coverage. It will also give you a youthful glow so if you're older, you would want to purchase this formula to achieve that look.
Semi-Matte
This formula is a mix of the Matte formula and the Original Glo formula. If you don't like the pearly finish the Original Glo gives you and you would prefer a little bit of a matte finish, this is for you. This formula also controls oil to a moderate amount so it'll be perfect for women who have normal to combination skin. It still does give off a dewey finish so it will still look very natural.
Hint: If you choose a Matte or Intensive formula for your finish, dust this over your T-zone in order to achieve a glow in the areas where the sun will hit.
Matte
Matte is a formula that will opt out of all the deweyness that Original Glo and Semi-Matte will deliver. This is essentially a shine-free formula that is preferable for normal to oily skin types. It absorbs oil very well and still won't make you break out (because of the all-natural ingredients, what else?).
You would want to purchase this if you have oily areas such as cheeks and T-zone. You may have a couple of blemishes that you would want to cover up and you prefer having a matte look instead of a glowy one because of your oil-production.
Intensive
Now this formula will deliver everything that Matte will give you except it has an added bonus of long lasting coverage. This is a formula that many use for heavier coverage. It also has a special formula that will control oil as well! This is for all skin types and despite it's heavier coverage, it is not pore-clogging and will not irritate.
You will want this if you have oily skin and makeup tends to slip off your face towards the end of the day. Or if you live in an area where the climate is continually hot and humid (Australians anyone?), this is a formula which will keep on your face even at the end of the day. Avid users of this formula claim that even after a workout at the gym, their makeup was virtually flawless.
