I am currently a transportation engineer at Leidos (formerly known as SAIC)- Saxton Transportation Operation Lab, Turner-Fairbank, FHWA. I have more than 7 years of experience in many aspects of transportation engineering: Highway Design, Traffic Operation, Transportation Planning and Intelligent Transportation Systems. I earned my Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in transportation engineering, Virginia Tech, USA. Previously, I have been working for five years as a research assistant in Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) where I was involved in many research projects supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT).
I was a Teaching Assistant and Instructor for many transportation related courses at Ain Shams University (Egypt) and Virginia Tech (USA), in addition to my part time job as a transportation engineer in multiple engineering firms. I had the opportunity of publishing several papers and I was honored various awards during my research in Virginia Tech.
