More West Virginia Publications
Three new poems were published in the Spring 2002 issue of Appalachian Journal. The poems, "Helvetia," "Ramps," and "In Memorium: Muriel Miller Dressler," focus on three unique aspects of West Virginian literature or culture. "Helvetia" describes a picturesque Swiss-American community deep in the heart of the Alleghenies, while the poem "Ramps" focuses on the notorious wild onion that is the harbinger of spring in the Mountain State. The final poem commemorates one of West Virginia's best-known poets, whom Jeff remembers from a reading she gave in his youth and whom he later met shortly before her passing.
