Welcome to my Electronic Portfolio! I am currently a Master's student in the Secondary Science Education program at Virginia Tech and will complete my degree in the spring of 2006. I also completed my undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech in the spring of 2004, earning a B.S. in Wildlife Science with a minor in biology. During my studies, I gained valuable field research experience as a study abroad student in New Zealand, as a Student Conservation Intern at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and as Harbor Seal research technician in Alaska. Last school year, I was a full-time substitute for Montgomery County Public Schools which reinforced my desire to become a science educator. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, playing softball, and dabbling in landscape photography. All photos were taken by me in New Zealand.
