I write for a web site called BigLickU.com. It is a college division of The Roanoke Times and it gets it's name from the city of Roanoke, Virginia. Roanoke used to be a big salt deposit and was given the nickname, Big Lick. So The Roanoke Times decided to use that nickname when they created their college news web site.
