Male Voters of Rusk Precinct, Grant District, ca. 1925-1930

The following is a transcription of a typewritten list found within the Jackson family papers. I estimate the list to have been compiled between 1925 and 1930. The early date of 1925 is derived from the approximate date of Oscar H. Allen's birth (1904) and the assumption of a voting age of 21. The latter date is derived from the appearance of Lorenzo Furr in the Richland Co., Ohio census of 1930. A number of the other men in this list are also absent from the Ritchie County census of 1930.

It seems unlikely that this is a complete list of the precinct's male voters. Local members of the Lewis, Pribble and Dulaney family, for example, do not appear on the list. Perhaps the men on this list all belonged to the same political party, or perhaps the list was compiled for a specific purpose.

This transcription is as close to the original as possible. Where known errors on the original appear, I have placed corrections in [brackets].
