Miscellaneous
This is where stuff goes when it doesn't go anywhere else. Things like maille that is not armour and random cold metal projects are listed here.
Casting
I just recently started playing with metal casting. The alloy I used is mostly lead and tin with some antimony and other assorted things. It is all recycled scrap. If you're in the Virginia Tech area and want to by some ingots, let me know. I've got more than I need for all sorts of things.
Buttons:

The first successful thing I cast was buttons. They were made in a three-piece soapstone mold. They are meant to be in a simple medieval or renaissance style, but they're not based off of any particular piece. The top row shows different angles of the 1/2" domed button. The middle row is the small 5/16" button. The bottom row is the cross button. Sorry about the pictures, my camera does not like small close-ups.
Cold Metalwork
Music stand:
After playing trombone for many years, I knew exactly what I wanted in a music stand, so I built one for a friend. This is a heavy stand that wont easily fall over. The height and angle are adjustable with pins so it wont sag or dump all of your music off. It adjusts from vertical to horizontal and goes taller than anyone will probably ever use it. Some of the black paint on the moving parts quickly scraped down to the grey primer, but it still looks a lot better than when it was random scrap metal without paint.
Misc. Maille
Belt pouch:
17ga 1/4" ID 6-in-1 pattern.
My chausses don't have pockets in them, so I made something to carry my money and keys. I've also worn it as an armoured sporan at celtic festivals for swordfighting shows.
Stuff I Didn't Make
Arrowhead
This was found out west and given to me as a graduation present. It's the only actually old thing in my collection so far. It was probably brought overseas by the Spanish. The zoom on the photo got a bit fuzzy, but you can see the small shaft collar area going into the tang. I'll have to make a replica someday. This type of tang would be much easier than welding on a cone, though I believe it doesn't hit as hard.
"Arthur Quinton 1368. Clyffe Pypard Church, Wiltshire."
"Isabel Boleyn 1485. Wife of W. Cheyne. Buckling Church, Norfolk"
These two I bought at salvation army. They stand about 4' tall. They're made of clay mounted on wood. There is a brass plaque at the bottom with the inscription.
