Mission
We are here to help you get the most out of our flavorful wines by pairing them with equally delectable dishes. Wine can always be enjoyed with a simple cheese or cracker, but why not create a meal the whole family will enjoy? Because Casanel is entirely a family-run business, the owner of the Vineyard, Nelson DeSouza, would love to share his own family recipes with you!
"Chegada"
The word "Chegada" is Portuguese for "arrival." Nelson DeSouza, originally from Rio de Janiero, Brasil, wanted to commemorate his arrival to America and also his start in the Loudoun County Wine Business with this very first collection. Along with celebrating your own arrival to our vineyard, Mr. DeSouza hopes that you will participate and enjoy the fruits of his labor with the wonderful tastes of the Chegada Collection.
We offer four excellent wines to choose from, including a Viognier (a white wine), the Native Virginian Norton (a rosé wine), and two red wines: a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon. Click on one of your favorite wines below to follow the link to our favorite recipes. Saude!
