I'd like to welcome one and all to my page of classic horror. I started this page with the horror movie connoisseur in mind, but I guess it could be useful to anybody, particularly if you're looking for that one movie you saw as a kid but you just can't remember its title.
Unfortunately I don't have much experience creating webpages so far, so I hope you'll bear with me while I build this page until it reaches the level it deserves.
The main purpose of this page is the review and short description of all the classic horror flics I can find. I've often seen an old movie at the video store and wasn't sure if I'd seen it before or if it was worth renting at all. I hope to solve those problems for you with this page.
It is important for the reader to know what my definition of "classics" is. Let me explain. Generally I do not consider any movie made after 1980 a classic. Anything that's Black-and-White (1960's vintage or older), no matter how bad, is a classic. Last but not least, any movie made after 1980 that was considered an "instant classic," such as "An American Werewolf in London" etc.
My intention was mainly to focus on VHS versions of the movies that I have reviewed, but since even we classic fans have to keep up with the times I have included a link to a DVD review for those movies for which they are avilable. Give them a try! They're done by a close friend of mine (a fellow horror-classic lover) and include availability information and thorough ratings.
As you all know, nobody is perfect. Hence, I am going to make mistakes and there will be things that won't work or somethings that may be annoying to you. Please feel free to let me know. Just E-mail me a quick note on what you think could be done better, or what needs to be changed.
Enjoy your visit!
