Blacksburg Summers |
|
| I have spent at least half of every summer I’ve been in college in Blacksburg. Blacksburg summers are unique. There aren’t many people around so you become extremely close to the friends that are in town and these close friendships tend to carry on in to the school year. The week days are priceless; classes are slack and the days are lazy including floating down the New River, lounging by the pool, and playing children’s games such as dodge ball and wiffle ball. And the weekends often included road trips to visit friends or to the beach. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my summers anywhere else. | |
