I write primarily creative nonfiction, including essays about nature and wildlife, meditations on place and home, and memoir pieces. I have a special interest in birds. I enjoy hiking, birding, playing in the New River, and most other outdoor activities. I sit on the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center and teach bird-related classes for our local YMCA's Open University. More...
