The Peace Corps promotes world peace and friendship. Volunteers of the Peace Corps have three simple goals:

  • to help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women
  • to promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served
  • to promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.

Peace Corps Volunteers work in the following areas: education, youth outreach, and community development; business development; agriculture and environment; health and HIV/AIDS; and information technology.Volunteers serve for 2 years and 3 months in countries all over the world.

As a recent graduate, serving as a Peace Corps volunteer can be very rewarding. Not to mention, it has its share of benefits:
