Preterite Test Example

Below is a vocabulary quiz I created for my Spanish II class that completely changed the way I do vocabulary quizzes.
Prior to this quiz, I had been giving students their vocabulary with pictures to help study, but not using them on the quizzes. Part of the quiz would have words in English where they would write the Spanish equivalent and the other part would have words in Spanish where they would write the English version. Most of these tests had students performing in the average zone, but some of them had huge failure rates. One week I decided to use the pictures from the book on the test in place of English words and the students performed very well. It was then that I realized that the quizzes I was giving before were not reflecting the way the students were learning the words. They were associating the objects visually with the words, not associating the Spanish words with their English names. Since this quiz, all my quizzes have used pictures as well as words.
