2003 Spring Meeting of the SME/CAS

The officers of SME/CAS are pleased to announce that our next Spring Meeting will be held in conjunction with the 2003 Annual SME Meeting and Exhibit in Cincinnati, Ohio, on February 23-27, 2003. This event, which is rarely held in the eastern U.S., will offer many of our members their first opportunity to participate in this world-class conference and exhibit sponsored annually by SME. All members planning to attend this conference should register directly with SME (not with SME/CAS). You may register on-line at the SME Registration Web Page.

Please note that SME/CAS will be sponsoring the Coal & Energy Division Luncheon & Silent Auction held on Tuesday, February 25 (12 noon). This event is an excellent opportunity for our membership to get together, to meet old friends, and to make new contacts. Tickets for the luncheon are $33 per person. SME/CAS also helped to arrange many of the conference field trips that include exciting visits to the Starfire Mountaintop Surface Coal Mine, Century Coal Mine, Mulzer Crushed Stone Quarry, New Amsterdam Quarry, and Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Research and Development.

2003 Fall Meeting of the SME/CAS and WVCMI
