About meMy name is Matthew Decker, I am a student of Virginia Tech studying Industrial Design under the direction of Ron Kemnitzer, Bill Green, and Mitzi Vernon. My skills range from ethnographic research, to concept sketching, foam model making, graphic logos, 3D CAD models, and technical drawings. My specialties include CAD modeling, photorealistic rendering, and image retouching. In addition to my school work I develop websites for friends, student organizations, and small companies. My recent works include the 2009 VT Solar Decathlon website, Virginia Tech A + D wetbsite content updates, and this most recent version of my website. I mainly utilize Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and concept sketching to design and execute my published works. I am currently searching for a design job on the east coast preferrably in DC, VA, NC, GA, or NJ in the fields of Product Design or Website Design. My ideal product design job would be with a company focused on design and fabrication of small to medium scale limited production runs. My ideal website design job would be with a company focused on the interaction with the user and dynamic flow of mixed medias. Please feel free to contact me for networking or job opportunities. |
