Consulting:
I am currently an associate collaborator with the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (LISA). I have done some walk-consulting and have taught a mini-course on Experimental Design for graduate students through LISA. I am comfortable with R, SAS, Minitab, and JMP. I also dabble in C++ and MatLab.
I am part of a group of graduate students trying to create a VT chapter of
StatCom, which provides statistical consulting to government and non-profit organizations in the community.
Research:
I am interested in applications of statistics to health, the environment, and natural resource management. I am working with Dr. Dong-Yun Kim on the application of change-point testing methods to climate data. We are also working on the change-point problem in hazard functions for survival analysis.
