Animals in the Chronicles

Animals play a large role in The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. From Joan's horses to the Coursers whose very nature protects them from the Sunbane, animals are an essential part of Covenant's story. The Andelainian animals who sacrifice themselves during the massacre of the Wraiths, the Ranyhyn who rear to Covenant even though they are badly injured, all have an impact on Covenant's perceptions of himself and the Land. The list is currently incomplete. Every animal that had some impact on Covenant, in or outside of the Land, will evntually be listed.
