Memiors
By Michael Green
The lively land
Stretches before me
Endless hopes
A sea of possibilities
I love this land
I once thought fake
But now I feel every flower
And every silver lake
The bursting life fills my eyes
And nature fills my soul
The land it feels so vibrant
It almost fills that hole
That festering black wound inside
Caused by leprosy
Tearing me apart at the seams
It is quite easy to see
It has caused me to kill and ravish and rape
And caused me to betray my friends
Fulfilling my desires
All for my own ends
I’ve realized all my wrongs and mistakes
Truly what can I do
What is in the past is unchangeable
That much I know is true
But with out me and without my deeds
Where would this world be
A scorched and barren landscape
Without a single tree
Corruption would reign grandmaster supreme
Over everyone
Corruption pulsing everlasting
From the very sun
But that did not pass
I could not allow
This beautiful world
To come crumbling down
And now that fear is gone
But the price was very dear
For I caused great sorrow
For those who where very near
My friend Foamfollower a wise friend
And a kindly giant
I turned him from the path of peace
And down the path of violence
And in the end, he became pure,
Pure as deep white snow
And with the gift of endless kindness
He helped me when I was low
The gift of Vain, a mystery,
Did help me on my way
I believe he was the best of us
I truly must say
He saved us once, he se saved us twice
And many time a more
And at the finish, the very end
He became something more
Then he and Findail combined together
To make the staff of law
He became something I wouldn’t of believed
If hadn’t saw
And Dear Elena, You showed me light You showed me hopes,
And how I loved you so,
You help me more, drove me further
And showed me more than you will ever know
You brought forth my love,
My daughter too
And I in turn uprooted your life
As if a coup
And dear Mhoram, I hurt you too
And That I deeply regret
You wanted to fix all the wrongs
And that chance you did get
Because of me, You lost your life And I beg of you
Forgive me of this sin
You did that to please, and also for the good of all
For you truly my kin
And because of me, you where cursed to a nightmare
Which one shouldn’t have to endure
Being a puppet of Lord Foul’s work
But my faith in you was always sure
And dear dear Bannor, you loyal fool,
Faithful to the end
Protector of us all, and of us all
You did defend
From the beginning
In you I found a friend
And inside my heart
I know you’d follow me to the end
And Hile Troy
You gave up your life
For the good and
The right
And in the end
You gave it again
For Sunder and his mate
Also for our gain
You gave it for your men
You gave it for me
You gave your life freely
And land is now free
But you Linden Avery,
You above them all,
I really cant believe
Believe I had such gall
The gall to snub you endlessly
The gall not to see
That you, my love,
Where in as much pain as me
And in the end , you came through
You purified the land
And when you returned to earth
White gold glinted in your hand
And now I’m dead and with my friends
I watch you constantly
And I will wait patiently
Til the day you come back to me
