Lucas Roberts

Currently I am a Ph D student at Virginia Tech University.

I was born in Burlington Vermont and Spent the first 24 years of my life there. Then I moved to Blacksburg VA where I currently reside. My personal interests include films, snowboarding, skateboarding, reading books, music of all varieties and, coincidentally enough more nerdy things like maths and stat. I am also spending a fair amount of my time developing my programming skills. I am studying and trying to apply principles of design patterns in my C++ code but also learning more about R software including interfacing R with C/C++, building packages, and doing distributed computing via multicore architectures and GPU's.
