Research interests and experience in asset ownership, consumer credit, financial literacy and access to services like mobile banking in Africa, health insurance, impact of work-related factors on family economic well-being, self-employment and entrepreneurship, welfare participation, savings behavior, and retirement planning and behavior. Published in several journals including the Financial Counseling and Planning Education, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Personal Finance, and Compensation and Working Conditions. Presented at several professional meetings including the American Council on Consumer Interests, Asian Consumer and Family Economics Association, the International Association of Agricultural Economists, and the International Federation of Home Economists.
