As an amateur photographer, Jacki
has photographed the Blacksburg landscape with a periodic focus on black and
white portraiture for nearly two decades.
Her work in this exhibit is a product of the spirit of six local artists and
friends who enjoy the idea of genuine artistic fellowship, and who desire as
a collective to help develop a more productive sense of community among artists
in Blacksburg.
Half the works here are a result of dodging and burning techniques in the darkroom,
and are meant to lend a fantastical appearance to ordinary landscape.
Jackis primary goal is to write for film and television while maintaining
her part-time career as a massage therapist.
