Metal masks, an unusual lamp

I make metal masks (and other stuff). The masks are made of salvaged metal and cut with an oxy-acetylene torch. I then hand-bend them into shape and paint them with a clearcoat to make them a little glossy and keep them from rusting.

lamp 3 This is a new idea for me. It's a two-part metal mask (the jaw is wired on and moves up and down) which is used like a lampshade. It's over chickenwire which has some spotlight gel and foil folded into it, and is attached to the lamp body with the original shade finial going through the chickenwire. The lamp is a funky metal table-lamp I picked up at a thrift store, it has a black-light bulb in it. I made the mask portion one afternoon when I was in a really hideous mood. I wanted to make something that looked just as awful as I felt. I feel like it was a pretty good success. I'd like to make more like this, especially freestanding, taller ones.
