For
this assignment, my group of Craig Lewis, Anthony Parrello, and myself
were to create a 30-60 second video about TEMLP (Technology Education
Master Licensure Program). We used Adobe Premiere to create the movie
from the video footage we took and pictures we had. We added copyright
free music and created our own narration to the clips. We wanted to
give the viewer a vision of what TEMLP was really about, so we used
a lot of images and video that we thought demonstrated the key aspects
of the program. We wanted to give an overview of the program and show
hands on activities and teamwork.
Before creating this
video, I had never used Adobe Premiere before. I was overwhelmed
with the complexity of the program when beginning this project.
However, I ended up spending numerous hours and learning a lot about
Premiere.
Storyboards
To communicate
our inital ideas, we sketched a preliminary storyboard. Our
instructor Dr. Sanders looked over this before we started filming
our video. We decided that we wanted to start with a "in
your face" shot, so we used the CO2
cars coming at the screen for our opening shot. We also wanted
numerous videos playing on a screen all together, and individual
videos popping out to full screen. We actually were able to
do almost exactly what we invisioned for our final video. Then,
after we made our video, we took clips of all the scences and
created a final storyboard. The final storyboard is viewable
as PDFs below:
