The Big Clip was a great introduction to Manufacturing. Our class actually manufactured "big clips" in the production lab. We used scrap oak blocks and a spring. We planned the production run, assigned duties, designed and built jigs and fictures, and produced the clips and packaging all in a couple of weeks. Below are photographs from the production day.

Anthony Parello on the radial arm saw cutting the scraps to length.
Ryan Sackett on the drill press drilling a hole for the spring to set through.
Nicole on the belt sander rounding the lip of the big clip.
