Web-Based Portfolio: This web-based portfolio was created to display the majority of my work throughout my studies as a student at Virginia Tech and focuses on artifacts created and the processes used along the way to solving numerous problems. I developed the portfolio during a sequence of Graphic Communication classes taught in the Technology Education undergraduate program at Virginia Tech. This portfolio began in the Fall of 2002 during my sophomore year in Introduction to Technology Education Class. I further developed this website in Graphic Communications I (junior), Graphic Communications II (junior), and finally Communications Technology (senior).
Prior to my studies at Virginia Tech, I knew absolutely nothing about webpages. I have learned numerous programs and softwares thoughout this unique experience and continue to build my knowledge of web-design.

About Me: I was introduced to the Technology Education Program at Virginia Tech by my high school teacher, Miss Ellis. She was a recent graduate of the program and actually took the time to take me to Virginia Tech and show me the program. I was involved in TSA in high school, Technology Student Association, and competed in numerous image technology competitions- from regionals to nationals. My strong interest in photography and the inspiration from a few wonderful teachers (Mr. Jerry Salyer and Miss Ellis) lead me to my studies at Virginia Tech. Although my passion is photography and graphic communications, I enjoy every aspect of the program. Its such a unique and interesting major in which I learn such a variety of information and skills. With only 13 classmates, we have formed a close bond and our teachers actually get to know who we are. Majority of my time in class is spent working on hands on projects. At home, I spend a lot of time working on projects on the computer. I am so thankful I found the perfect program for me. I have began another portfolio to display my photography. Take a look from the "Other Work" page.
