Students learn the Manufacturing Process by developing a company and manufacturing a product in an assembly line production run. Before creating a product, students learn about the 6 stages of the Manufacturing Process, Types of Companies, Entrepreneurship, and Logos, Symbols, & Lettermarks. Manufacturing 15 products in 45 minutes takes days of organization, design, and development. Students brainstorm ideas, then present their idea to the class. The class votes on which product to produce, then divide into two separate companies. Past projects have included clocks, lamps, birdhoused, & CD holders.
