| Students rotate through 10-day activities in our DEPCO modular computer lab. The modular lab provides the student with active learning situations and higher-order thinking skill development through practical problem solving experiences. Our Technology Education Lab has 14 available modules for students to choose from. To learn about each of our modules, read the description below. | ![]() |

![]() Students are totally engaged in learning CNC programming codes, such as G and M code, and are introduced to logo graphics through use of interactive animations, videos, and narrations. They will see how to create a real prototype project using RoboBoard and foam. |
![]() Looking at various structures and engineering principles, students will apply knew knowledge by designing, building and testing a balsa wood bridge. |
![]() Animate means to bring to life. And that's exactly what students do in this project-packed module. Students bring to life objects and characters they create or import using the popular Flash animation software. |
![]() Students become familiar with the sign-making software by exploring sample signs and working with basic text and graphics tools. Students operate advanced equipment to plot and cut various vinyl signs. |
![]() Focusing on desktop publishing concepts and techniques, students are able to complete various computer aided design projects. Using Adobe PageMaker, they will create layouts for yearbooks and party invitations. |
![]() Students are introduced to the four strokes and get their hands dirty as they see how all of the components work together. They identify the components of the cylinder block, and then assemble the internal and external parts of the engine. |
![]() Using the graphic design software Corel Draw, students will learn the basics of design and apply it to creating a T-shirt or mouse pad. |
![]() The students will learn the basics of electronics and use a digital multimeter to measure voltage, current, and resistance, Students will make a various circuits such as an alarm system. |
![]() In this module, students learn the exciting and challenging technical drawing software, AutoCAD® LT. They learn and practice such skills as setting up drawing grids for a drawing environment, using simple commands, and creating more sophisticated designs with several different layers. |
![]() Learning as they build, students follow the entire process of constructing a scale model of a storage shed, which includes framing the side walls, building a back wall and covering it with sheathing, framing and sheathing window walls, and finally completing the door wall. |
