Students learn the Manufacturing Process by developing a company and manufacturing a product in an assembly line production run. Before creating a product, students learn about the 6 stages of the manufacturing process, inventors & entrepreneurshipTypes of Companies, , and Logos, Symbols, & Lettermarks. Manufacturing 15 products in a forty-five minute class period takes days of organization, design, and development. Students design and engineer ideas, and then make a presentation to the class of the product they want to make. The class votes on which product to produce, then divide into two separate companies. Past projects have included clocks, lamps, birdhoused, & CD holders.
