Lesson on the Battles of World War II
Directions for Soldier’s Letter: Pretend you are a soldier during World War II. Write a letter home in which you describe at least three battles that you have either participated in or have heard about. You must include details from class, but remember it is a letter to a loved one so include things that your family, or significant other, would want to know (your emotional state, are you scared). Do not simply write down a list of details, write it as a letter. When describing the 3 battles be sure to include the following: name of battle, year of battle, who was involved, the significance of the battle, and what side was victorious.
