It is my job as a professional educator to:
Create open student-teachers relationships with student and parents, where they
feel free to come ask for help or have a discussion anytime.
My job allows me the wonderful opportunity of working with students year
after year, building close relationships with family. Oftentimes we become
the families' first American friend.
Be flexible. Give students what they need by providing content assistance
within the classroom, English language pull-out instruction, or both.
Scaffold and differentiate instruction and provide a network of support systems
along with the necessary modifications and accommodations the English Language
Learners require.
Promote and instill a love for literacy in students at an early age.
Provide classroom teachers with instructional strategies to further
differentiate for ELL’s and to assist in creating open communication between
the school and parents.
