about the author

I'm gonna' go out on a limb and guess that you came here to learn more about me. If not, my apologies. I must warn you though, I will place links to practically everything I've been involved with, or at least has something to do with me.

I guess I'll start with my family. I have two parents (yes, two...count 'em - one, two) and a younger brother, who loves to annoy me. Unfortunately for me, he's really good at it. We live in a quaint (a nice word for small) house in Lorton, VA. Lorton also happens to be the home of the District of Columbia Department of Corrections, but we fondly call it Lorton Prison. It'll be closing in 2001, and it will be sad to see it go (yeah, right).

We didn't always live in Northern Virginia (land of strip malls). My dad was in the US Army, so I've lived all over the world. I was born in Tampa, FL, but I really don't remember the place. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I was only a one year old when we left. I've also lived in Korea, Arizona, Italy, Maryland, and the Netherlands. I began high school at AFCENT International School in Brunssum, NL. It was a quaint (there's that word again) school, so everyone knew everyone. In fact it was so small that the class of '97 was comprised of a grand total of 35 people. I like it though, I've made some lifelong friends there.

After leaving the Netherlands, my dad was stationed at Ft. Belvoir, VA. I continued my high school education at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, VA. It was a far cry from AFCENT. The class of '97 was close to 400 people. I didn't have the best time at Hayfield, but I survived and met some cool people there. However, the place was like a mini-UVA (at least in my opinion), they even had the same school colors. YIKES!

After my senior year at Hayfield, I enrolled at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University majoring in Architecture. During the summer after my first year, I came to the realization that without Jesus, I wasn't going to Heaven, instead I'd be going to another place. I don't know about you, but for me, that just wasn't cool (not cool at all). During my second year I was able to land a Christian roommate, and I became more involved with a InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. By the grace of Jesus, I was finally able to understood what the gospel was all about, and the rest, I guess is history.

Well, I'm now in my third year here at Virginia Tech and each year is getting better and better. I've made some the greatest friends I've ever had. At this rate, I can't wait for my final year here.

If this wasn't enough about me to satisfy your thirst, you can go to my survey page to learn practically everything you'd ever want to know, and probably some things that you probably didn't.
